How Vibrrr Matches Your Project to the Right Developer

Most freelance platforms put the burden on you. You write a job post, sift through dozens of proposals, try to figure out who is actually qualified, and hope for the best. It is time-consuming and unreliable — especially if you are not technical yourself.

Vibrrr works differently. You describe what you need in plain language. AI handles the translation. And the matching system connects you with developers who are actually suited to your project.

Here is how each step works.

Step 1: Describe Your Project in Your Own Words

You do not need to write a technical specification. You do not need to know what programming language your project requires. You just need to explain what you want built and what problem it solves.

Go to vibrrr.ai/try and describe your project the way you would explain it to a smart colleague. Something like:

"I need a customer portal where our clients can log in, view their order history, download invoices, and submit support tickets. It should match our brand and work well on mobile."

That is enough. You can add as much or as little detail as you want — budget range, timeline preferences, must-have features. The more context you provide, the sharper the match. But even a brief description works.

Step 2: AI Generates a Structured Brief

Once you submit your description, Vibrrr's AI analyzes it and generates a structured project brief. This brief translates your plain-language description into the specifics developers need to evaluate the project:

  • Scope and deliverables — What will actually be built
  • Technical requirements — Languages, frameworks, integrations that the project likely requires
  • Complexity assessment — How complex the project is, which determines the developer tier best suited to it
  • Estimated timeline — A realistic range based on scope
  • Suggested milestones — How the project can be broken into deliverable phases

You review this brief before it goes anywhere. If something is off — the AI assumed you need a mobile app when you wanted a web app, for example — you can adjust it. The brief is a starting point, not a locked contract.

Step 3: Matching to the Right Developers

This is where Vibrrr's matching system earns its keep. Rather than broadcasting your project to every developer on the platform, the system evaluates developers across multiple dimensions:

  • Skills overlap — Does the developer have experience with the specific technologies your project requires? This carries the most weight in the matching algorithm.
  • Tier appropriateness — Is the project complexity matched to the developer's demonstrated capability level? A simple landing page does not need an Expert developer, and a complex enterprise system should not go to someone just getting started.
  • Track record — What is the developer's rating from past projects? How many projects have they completed?
  • Availability — Is the developer actually available to take on new work right now?

The result is a shortlist of developers who are genuinely qualified for your specific project — not a firehose of proposals from people who bid on everything.

Understanding Developer Tiers

Every developer on Vibrrr is placed into a tier based on their application, portfolio, and demonstrated skills. This is not a self-reported label — it is determined through Vibrrr's screening process, which includes technical evaluation and scenario-based assessment.

Emerging Developer — Developers with solid coding fundamentals who are building their AI-assisted development skills. Best for well-defined projects: landing pages, simple web applications, standard integrations, basic automations. Rates typically range from $15-30/hour.

Verified Developer — Developers with a proven track record of delivering AI-assisted projects. They handle mid-complexity work: full-stack applications, database-driven platforms, API integrations, e-commerce builds. Rates typically range from $30-60/hour.

Expert Developer — Senior developers with deep technical expertise amplified by AI tools. They take on complex architecture, performance-critical systems, multi-service integrations, and projects requiring significant technical judgment. Rates typically range from $60-120/hour.

Vibrrr Pro (Agentic Engineer) — The highest tier. These developers architect and orchestrate autonomous AI agent workflows, multi-model systems, and enterprise-grade solutions. They are building at the frontier of what AI-assisted development can do. Rates reflect their specialized expertise.

The tier system means you are not comparing apples to oranges when evaluating developers. A Verified developer and an Expert developer are different levels of capability, priced accordingly, and matched to different types of projects.

Step 4: Review Proposals and Choose

Matched developers can review your brief and submit proposals. Each proposal includes their approach to your project, estimated timeline, proposed milestones, and pricing.

You evaluate proposals based on whatever matters most to you — experience with similar projects, communication quality, price, timeline, or a combination. Developer profiles show their tier, ratings, completed projects, and specializations, so you have real information to work with.

If you want help evaluating proposals, the Vibrrr blog covers what to look for in detail. But the short version: look for a developer who clearly understands your project, has relevant experience, and communicates well.

How Your Money Is Protected

Every project on Vibrrr is protected by structured payments:

Escrow — When you fund a milestone, the money is held securely by Stripe. The developer can see that funds are available (so they know the project is real), but the money is not released until you approve the deliverable.

Milestone-based delivery — Projects are broken into milestones, each with its own deliverable and payment. You fund and approve one milestone at a time. This means you never pay for the full project upfront, and you can evaluate progress at each stage before continuing.

Revision rounds — Each milestone includes two rounds of revisions at no additional cost. If something is not right, the developer addresses it before you approve and release payment.

Dispute resolution — If a disagreement arises that cannot be resolved between you and the developer, Vibrrr provides a structured resolution process. Both parties present their case, and Vibrrr mediates a fair outcome.

This structure protects both sides. Buyers know their money is safe until they are satisfied. Developers know that funded milestones mean the buyer is committed and the payment is real.

Try It

The best way to understand how matching works is to try it. Go to vibrrr.ai/try, describe a project — real or hypothetical — and see what comes back. The brief generation is free, and you are under no obligation to proceed.

If you are a developer interested in being on the other side of this process, take a look at the Founding Vibrrr program to see what early access offers.
